A Chartered Economist building
systems for African youth to thrive

My Story
"Mental resilience and economic inclusion cannot be addressed in isolation. I work at their intersection — deliberately."
Jessica Ohaka is a Chartered Economist, social entrepreneur, Founder and Director of the Reboot Wellbeing & Empowerment Foundation (R-WEF). She works at the intersection of youth wellbeing, employability, and economic empowerment building systems that equip young Africans to move from surviving to leading.
Before founding R-WEF, Jessica served as Programme Manager for the Mind Yourself Project at Dream Sports Africa, a large-scale mental health initiative that reached over 20,000 young people across West Africa. She developed evidence-informed curricula, led volunteer teams, and stewarded significant budgets gaining firsthand insight into the structural gaps that prevent young people from accessing both wellbeing support and economic opportunity. This experience shaped her conviction that mental resilience and economic inclusion cannot be addressed in isolation.
Jessica is also a Global Executive Assistant and Executive Operations Strategist with over eight years of experience supporting C-Suite leaders across multiple continents. She is an ACE-certified Economist, Secretary of the Africa Suicide Prevention Association (ASPA), and an official representative of the International Association for Suicide Prevention (IASP).
At R-WEF, she developed the RISE Framework, a proprietary youth development approach grounded in Resilience, Innovation, Sustainability, and Empowerment to guide programming that is culturally rooted, not imported. Her aspiration is to build R-WEF into Africa's most trusted grassroots infrastructure for youth wellbeing and economic inclusion one community at a time.
